Has anyone tried playing Scrabble with Catan-like trading mechanics, e.g. “I’ll trade you an A for an E”, or “2 vowels for a Q”?
Curious whether it would add an interesting dynamic, or just completely kill the game.

Haven’t tried, but it sounds neat! Bohnanza vibes, maybe.
Usually these sort of additions do kill games. But with additional corrections they might also birth a whole new game. A rule of thumb I like is: if you want to add something, you need to also remove something.

interesting… maybe you remove blank tiles because they become too powerful?
