The Swedish call Jiminy Cricket “Benjamin Syrsa” (Benjamin Cricket), the Finns call him Samu Sirkka (Samuel Cricket)

Apparently it’s really common for Santa to come and deliver the gifts face to face on Christmas Eve (rather than coming down the chimney while you’re sleeping). Makes sense that his route starts here I guess.

Mustard is a Christmas thing here. Cranberry sauce is not.

At 4pm on Christmas Eve, all of Sweden stops what it’s doing to watch a 1958 Disney Christmas Special, dubbed into Swedish youtu.be/4FqEM20nG5E?feature=shared
