13 notes. Back to the latest.

  1. Nigel Farage

  2. If it wasn’t for airport security my pockets would just keep filling up until my jeans were 10% denim and 90% tissues & sweet wrappers

  3. The second best productivity hack we’ve ever introduced is including a “Fallow” week in every dev cycle, where the team can work on self-directed projects and explore new tech risk-free.

It’s a wildcard, but has paid off massively over the years. The team often choose to spend their time on quality-of-life improvements for themselves (things that would be blind spots to any top-down management), which all add up to increased momentum.

  4. There’s something painfully poetic about a lonely rich guy buying a social network

  5. “If a news headline has a question mark, it’s not news” has saved me so much time

  6. Theory: the new X logo is an abstract representation of the scissors the man child is running with bbc.co.uk/news/business-66284304

  7. Maybe the real software was the bugs we made along the way

  8. But yeah, sure, the name was the problem.

  9. For a mere $33 Billion he could have bought Spotify, renamed it X, been just as close to what he apparently wants to build and have $11 Billion left over.

    Genius.

  12. This certainly sounds like the vocabulary of someone who doesn’t know how old the Colosseum is

  13. Signed up to threads. Hit “follow all”. Saw some posts from people I know. Refreshed the home feed and it got instantly filled with posts from people I don’t know that Meta thinks I’d really like to follow.

Checked for an “only people I follow” option, unsuccessfully.

    Closed threads. Opened Mastodon.
