It would be cool if, instead of connecting a Bluetooth keyboard to VisionOS, you could just look at anything keyboard-shaped and it would recognise it and give you the option to map the virtual keyboard to it.
So for example you could just use an old typewriter to type on Vision Pro.
Fun fact: it was easier to have Photoshop magically add a typewriter to that image than it was to export it as a simple JPEG.
In the end I just screenshotted it.
The future is weird.

Can’t help but feel that the reluctance of Netflix, Spotify, etc to develop native apps for Apple Vision is at least partly due to Apple’s increasingly-petty insistence that they deserve a 30% cut of any business done on their platform.

So far, posting a job on LinkedIn has been precisely as horrible as I’d feared. 300 applicants so far, only 2 of which live in Northern Ireland (which the job posting states as a requirement).
95% of the applicants are based in India or Pakistan, along with 100% of the dozens of folks DM-ing and emailing me (although half of them are agencies). To be clear, I’d be delighted to hire someone with that background — if they live in Northern Ireland.
The fact that LinkedIn doesn’t allow you to ensure your job is only seen by folks who are based in the region the job is based, means the signal-to-noise ratio is horrendous, and probably means we’re going to miss some actual relevant candidates in the mix.
They have the data, but some product manager is clearly optimising for “engagement” metrics.
